Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey gang! Earlier today, I saw koolkittykat3245 advertising that they were giving away a black long at their den. That's quite a valuable prize to just give away, so out of curiosity, I went to their den to see what was up.

They had the black long on trade, so the doubt wasn't about whether or not they had it, and more about whether or not they were actually going to give it away.

When koolkittykat3245 came back to their den, they asked everyone to buddy them. This is a common thing that scammers will do, as it allows them to quickly unbuddy and lock people out of their den if they start accusing them of scamming.

All of a sudden, the giveaway for a black long changed into a "giveaway" for a spike wrist. koolkittykat3245 announced that we would be doing flash trading for the wrist, in which you send a trade for someone else's item, accept it, but then cancel it before they can accept it. This is nearly always a scam because the other person could easily accept your trade before you get the chance to cancel it, and because of the existence of auto-accept hacks that make accepting flash trades very easy.

Of course, since this is a giveaway, it makes no sense for us to be trading koolkittykat3245 at all - they're supposed to be giving the items to us! I tried to ask them why we were trading them if this was a giveaway, and a number of other players in the den agreed with me. Their response to this was simply "idk".

They said to not accuse them of anything, presumably in response to the other person who vaguely alluded to flash trading being analogous with scamming. When I told them this whole thing sounded kind of suspicious, they immediately locked me out of the den and I was unable to get back in.

Make sure to report koolkittykat3245 for scamming. Stay safe and trade fairly!
