FAQ

Q: I know a scammer, can you make a post about them?
A: We, unfortunately, cannot make posts about scammers without any evidence of them attempting scamming. If you have evidence, we advise you to check out our Scammer Report page.

Q: I got scammed! Can you get my items back?
A: We're very sorry that you were scammed, but there isn't anything we can do to recover lost items. The most we could do is make a post about whoever scammed you (see above). There is a small chance that AJHQ can recover your items if you send them a support ticket on the Help section of the AJ website, but there is sadly no guarantee your items will be returned.

Q: I am interested in being a part of your team. How can I join?
A: We are currently closed indefinitely, and as such nobody can submit an application.
A: We appreciate that you want to help us out! If being apart of our team sounds like something that interests you, you can apply by submitting an application to the form linked on the Joining page. However, please note that we do not accept all applications that we receive. Even if you don't want to or are unable to join the team, there are still other ways you can help take action against scammers.

Q: I was previously a member of AJSASS, but I left/was removed for inactivity. Can I rejoin?
A: We are currently closed indefinitely, and as such nobody can submit an application.
A: Yes, just fill in this form, and the staff will get back to you.
This form is only for former members of the society interested in rejoining the team. If you are interested in joining for the first time, see the above question.

Q: I submitted an application to join the team but I haven't received an email yet. What should I do?
A: It can take us anywhere between 1 - 4 days to send out your results. However, if it has been more than a week since you submitted your application and you still haven't heard back from us, there's a chance your email was not entered correctly on your application and our response didn't reach you.
If this is the case for you, please contact us either by email (AnimalJamSASS@outlook.com) or by sending a staff member a message on Discord. Tell us your username and the email you applied with so that we can sort it out.
Please note that any applications that don't meet our base requirements for joining (personal email, able to make a Discord, 13 or older) are discarded by default and we will not send you an email telling you that you were rejected. Also, any applications submitted before the end of your 3-month cooldown period will likely not be replied to.

Q: How does AJSASS's ranking system work?
A: In the order of the highest rank to lowest, they are the three senior agent ranks (Delta, Beta, Sigma), Gamma, and Omega. Staff is considered a status that senior agents can obtain. More information is available in our official ranking document.

Q: How do you get promoted as a member of AJSASS?
A: Omegas need to undergo a training period that lasts a maximum of 2 weeks and a short test and assessment to become a Gamma. Gammas who want to be promoted to a senior agent role (Delta, Beta, Sigma) must be in the society for at least 6 months, after which they can submit a request for promotion that the staff will review. Promotion to Staff requires a trial amongst all members of the team. More information is available in our official ranking document.

Q: What is AJSASS' main platform for communication?
A: We communicate via our Discord server, but anyone is allowed to join and hang out with us. You can join our server through the widget on the sidebar of our blog.

Q: Even if I can't join the society, can I still help stop scammers?
A: You don’t have to be a part of our society to help make Animal Jam safer for your fellow players! There are a variety of things you can do on your own to help take action against scammers and other players that make the game unsafe.

  • You can familiarize yourself with the most common methods of scamming that scammers use so that you know how to identify them and help others avoid them (we list most known scamming methods on our Types of Scams page).
  • If you see another player who you believe is scamming, try to diffuse the situation by making sure other players don’t participate in their scam and by questioning the scammer’s methods/pushing them to do a safer method instead.
  • If you know of a scammer, get your buddies to report them so that appropriate action is taken against their account! If a scammer is reported for scamming by enough different players, their account will be suspended for 1 - 3 days and they will hopefully be discouraged from scamming more people.
  • We also post new scammers on our blog that members of our team find all the time, and it would help us out a lot if you took the time to report (and maybe block) the scammers we post so that their account is more likely to be temporarily suspended.

Q: I have a question that wasn't answered here. What should I do?
A: If you have questions for our staff, there are a few ways you can get in contact with us. You can leave a comment on our blog and we will answer it, or, if you have a more formal inquiry, you can reach out to us through either of the methods listed on our Contact page.

  1. Hi, I have a question. It’s not about scammers though; it’s about Blogger. So when I am on Google Chrome on a computer and open up this blog, right above the search bar, I see tabs- which show the different web pages I’m on. Tabs show the webpage name and a small logo thing beside it. How do you get that small logo thing?

Also, I would like to put commenting rules on my blog, just like on this blog, but I don’t know how. (“Your comment must be approved...FAQ before asking.”) I know that’s supposed to be there every time someone posts a comment on Ajsass. I would really appreciate if y’all can help. :)

    1. The icon that appears on the tab next to a webpage's title is known as a favicon. To change it, go to your settings, and in the basic settings section, click on "favicon". In the legacy Blogger dashboard, simply go to your blog's layout tab and click the favicon box in the top left.
As for the commenting note, that can be added by going to Settings, scrolling down to the comment settings, and clicking on the "comment form message".
Like it says in our comment form, please don't post your comment multiple times - we got it the first time ;)

  2. Hi, I also have a question about Blogger in general. How did you get your logo on your header? Whenever I tried mine it would only go into a certain part of the header.

    1. The image you're trying to put in the header is likely too small to fit correctly. Here's a website that might help you resize it: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/make-blogger-headers-fit-29011.html

Your comment must be approved by a staff member before it will show up on the blog. Please do NOT post your comment multiple times.
We will not entertain any comments that are posted with malicious intent. In that sense, we will not remove any post on a scammer until we have solid evidence showing that the scammer in question did not actually scam. If your comment is asking for a post to be taken down or implies that any posted scammer wasn't scamming, it likely won't be published.
Please only comment if you have something of value to contribute. Comments that are pointless or just plain incomprehensible will be marked as spam. If you have a question, please check our FAQ before asking.
