Random Saturday Ep. 96: Diamond Shop Spikes

Hey guys!Agent Pluto here with this week's Random Saturday! Today I'm going to be covering diamond shop spikes on AJPC and their worths! Diamond shops spikes have been in Animal Jam Classic for years but some newer jammers might not know their history!

First, we have the "First-Gen" diamond spike collars from 2013:

Spirit AJ: Spikes

These spikes also came in wrists of the same colors and both are coveted items by collectors and normal players alike. These spikes were originally sold for 3 diamonds each. They are worth from a bad long collar to even two black longs.

Next, we have the "First-Gen" diamond short collars from 2015:

Spiked Collar | Animal Jam Classic Wiki | Fandom

These spikes came in 8 colors, black, light blue, turquoise, green, peach, purple, pink, and white. they also came in wristbands of the same color. These collars sold for 3 diamonds each. Every color of this spike is worth one den beta each.

Now, we have the worn spike collars from 2017:

anyone have a nm purple worn spike ft? | Fandom

These collars, unlike the rest on this list, were a nonmember item. They also came in wristbands that were also nonmember. These collars were sold for 3 diamonds each. These collars are worth a bad long collar each because of their nonmember status.

Lastly, we some other miscellaneous spikes from over the years:

These honorable mentions include the Ancient Spike Collar, the Blackout Spike Collar, the Solid Gold Spike Collar, the Magenta Spike Collar, the Mythic Spike Collar, and the Rainbow Spike Collar. all of these spikes were sold for around 3 diamonds each. they are all worth around a clothing beta each.

Welp, that is a wrap on this week's random Saturday! See you all next time

This is Agent Pluto, blasting off.

Random Saturday Ep 94: The History of Crystal Sands

Hey guys! Agent Pluto here back with another Random Saturday! Today, I am going to continue talking about the Beta period of AJPC! This time I am covering the history of Crystal Sands, and how it was different in the Beta period.

To recap, the Beta period was a time in Animal Jam Classic before it was fully released to the public. The game was very new and is much different than how it is today. Today, we are going to look at how Crystal sands have changed from the Beta period to now.

Let's start with how it looked in the beta period:

Clearly, Crystal Sands has gone through some pretty drastic changes from the Beta period to now. But, some of the layouts have stayed the same. We still have Captin Melvins Juice Hut in the same spot and the rock formations are similar.

The outside of Captin Melvins looks almost identical to how it looks now. From what we know, this image shows the spawn point. But overall it looks very similar to how it looks now.

We have no images of how captain Captin Melvins looked in the Beta. But from the information we know, it was a large tropical-themed room with the claw game and the iconic smoothie machine.

Let's take a look at Crystal Sands now:

As you can see, a lot was added to Crystal sands. while we still have the rocks and oddly green water. We now have Tierney's Aquarium, a museum that teaches you about all sorts of marine life. We also have new games such as Overflow, Double Up, and the Pet Wash. another addition is 4 new water slides that lay within the original rocks. Also, you can now travel underwater by walking off the 2 docks within the water. Which either take you to Crystal Reef of Kani Cove!

This concludes another chapter of The beta period in Animal Jam Classic. I hope you guys enjoy these Beta posts as much as I do.

That's all for this week's Random Saturday!

Random Saturday Ep 91: Tierney's Aquarium

Hello everyone! Snow here with the blog's 91st random Saturday! Today I will be talking about Tierney's Aquarium. 🦎

Tierney's Aquarium came to crystal sands on march 15th 2012. So it has been around for over 9 years! The point of the aquarium is to teach jammers about the ocean and underwater animals. All the videos and information are by Tierney, hence the name.

Tierney is a marine biologist, a marine biologist is someone who studies oceans and their inhabitants. On Animal Jam she is mostly known for the short videos she creates at the movie theater found in Tierney's aquarium. Tierney worked with national geographic as an explorer for many years and that is how the job came up.

There are lots of cool features in Tierney's aquarium, including the ocean portal. When you first walk in, there is a portal that leads you to Kani cove. There is also a similar-looking portal that leads you to a minigame called Touch Pool. Another cool thing is the aquarium. This aquarium used to have videos that showed fish swimming past a camera, however, it was deleted a few years ago. The aquarium also has some fish that when you drag your mouse around them, they will follow your cursor!

Tierney's Aquarium is available in Animal Jam and Animal Jam Play Classic. Both versions are very much the same.

That's all for today! Thanks for ready jammers and stay safe! This is agent Snow signing off.

Random Saturday Ep 90: The History Of Jamaa Township

Howdy Jammers! This is Pluto back at it with another Random Saturday!

This week, I will be covering a small portion of the "Beta" period of Animal Jam Classic! Before the polished version of Animal Jam classic was released, there was a testing phase known as the "Beta" era. Many items were released during this time that are now considered rare. But, a lot of new jammers don't know about this time period. Now I couldn't possibly fit everything about the beginning of animal jam and how it was before it was released to the public. But, today we will be talking about Jamaa and the changes it went through to get where we are.

First, lets talk about the beta era:

Beta Days — Animal Jam Archives

Now as you can see, Jamaa Township has gone through some major changes throughout the years. the overall walkways have stayed relatively the same, with the 2 bridges on each side and the open middle. there was a total of 2 shops; Jam Mart Clothing (bottom right) and Jam Mart Furniture (top right). Also shown in this image, there are 3 other buildings; Club Geoz (top left), the Medical Center (bottom building; bottom left), and the Pillow Room (top building; bottom left)

Jamaa Township, the beta days. Look at the bunnies horn that is beta. I wonder what his den looks like... | Animal jam, Animal jam play wild, Animal jam animals

Here we see the spawn point of Jamaa Township during the Beta testing. In the middle, there is a sign that has changed a lot throughout the course of the game. the overall feel of the spawn point hasn't changed, but the layout of buildings has changed drastically.

Jamaa's Written Truth: Beta Times

Here is a picture of the Mira shrine which Is located at the very top of Jamaa. as you can tell, this area hasn't changed what so ever. but its important to show that some things haven't changed within the game throughout the years.

Animal Jam Behind The Scenes: Beta Times!

Now we are looking at the bottom of Jamaa Township, where we have Jam mart clothing, the Pillow Room, and the Medical center. The fountain and the pillow room are the only parts of this area that have not moved since the beta.

Animal Jam Behind The Scenes: Beta Times!

Jam Mart clothing was one of the only shops in the game at the time, and it design hasn't changed. I can't find any images of Jam mart furniture, but it pretty much looks the same as it does now.

Now lets move on to present day

As you can see, there's been a lot of new additions throughout the land. Such as; the Diamond Shop (bottom right) , the Sol Arcade (bottom left) , and the Alpha Headquarters (bottom right). Club Geoz was removed in 2017 to be replaced with the Alpha Headquarters. the pillow room became less and less prominent. And the layout of Jam Mart Clothing and Jam Mart Furniture was changed to the spots we all know today.

In the future, I hope to do more posts about different beta features. I feel like many new jammers don't know the history behind these lands that we all know and love. but for today, stay safe and Play Wild in AJPC!

Random Saturday Ep 89: AJC Roleplay Culture & History

Greetings from Agent Grave!

Today I'm going to touch upon a topic that remains sentimental to me: the roleplay community in AJC. Most Jammers are aware that people roleplay warrior cats and wolves in Sarepia Aldan. Despite what it may seem, it is much more than pretending to be an animal. I've met lifelong friends from this special corner of the internet, and I'm still in touch with some of them today. Roleplay has given me a jump-start in my passion for writing, and I wouldn't have the skillset or opportunities I have today if I wasn't a warrior cats obsessed nerd.

Our culture may seem strange to traders, but it makes us who we are, and resonates with us on a personal level. To understand roleplay culture, you must understand our history.

Random Saturday Ep 88: AJC Beach House Den Review

Hey Jammers. Galaxy here with another Random Saturdays post! Today I’m doing a review of the Beach House den in Animal Jam Classic.

The Beach House den is a member’s only den that costs 7 diamonds in the Diamond Shop. It was originally released back on April 30, 2015, during the summer. It was taken out and released again multiple times. It’s recently been re-released again for the summer of 2021.

The den has a 3-story house with a deck, 3 balconies, and a slide that leads to the beach. You can also go to the far right to stand on the plateau where you can see dolphins or fish jumping out of the water!

I like the Beach House due to how spacious it is. You can decorate it with multiple different themes. Since it was so large, I used it as an art gallery myself for a while. This is my own Beach House Den now!

The summer theme is easiest to match to the Beach House but there are many other themes you could use as well.

If you search online you can easily find some decorating tutorials. There’s plenty of items you can buy in the Diamond Shop and in Jam Mart Furniture that are beach-themed as well! However, some of the items released from the Beach House Bundle that are currently for sale in the Diamond Shop have a very limited time left before they’re gone so be sure you grab them before they’re gone!

That concludes this episode. Be sure to buy the Beach House Den before it’s gone and thank you so much for reading the newest edition of Random Saturdays!

Random Saturday Ep. 83: Plushies

Hai jammers, Blossom here with our 83rd Random Saturday post! Today I will be talking about the stuffed animals of Animal Jam, plushies!

Plushies were first introduced to the game in mid-July of 2011, and have since become a fun part of Animal Jam.

The most common variety of plushies are Claw Plushies, which can be won from claw machines. Other plushies can be obtained from games, shops, and promo codes.

There are also Jambassador Plushies, which are custom plushies made especially for Jambassadors, including Pugfluff, Chocolate4froggy, CupcakeCeline, and WisteriaMoon.

Finally, we've got the Clothed Plushies, which are not in-store, but will rarely make an appearance in a Claw Machine every once in a while.

Plushies are great items for collections, as well as shops, so I recommend you go out and grab some! I hope you have fun with these! This is Agent Blossom signing off, remember to stay safe and play pawsome!

Random Saturday Ep. 81: Cruise Ship Party

Hello everyone! Snow here with my first random Saturday post! Today I'm going to be talking about the Cruise Ship Party in Animal Jam Classic.

The Cruise ship party first came to Animal Jam on May 10th in 2012. It is available during March, April and May. It comes a few times every day and you can access it by clicking the party hat icon at the top of your screen. Every time it comes to Jamaa, the party stays for 30 minutes.

At the Cruise Ship Party there are lots of things to do. For instance, in the sky you can see some custom clouds, and a sun. If you click on one of these then a miniature version will appear next to your animal

Near the top of the ship, there is a shop. The shop can be accessed by clicking the umbrella. In the shop you can find all sorts of cool Cruise Ship themed den items!

Also, near the bottom and prow of the ship you can sometimes find dolphins dancing! If you are a flying animal you can also go into the water and see them more clearly.

Next to the shop, is a smoothie machine. This is the same smoothie machine that can be found in the juice hut, by crystal sands. If you are a member then there is also an opportunity to buy the smoothie machine to put in your den.

In the middle of the ship there is a slide that you can go down that leads into a swimming pool. Around the swimming pool there are cushions and two orange chairs.

The Cruise Ship party is very cool, so make sure to check it out before it leaves Jamaa! That is all for this weeks random Saturday post! Stay safe and jam on!

Random Saturday Ep 66: Unreleased Items

Hey Jammers! Neon here with my first Random Saturday! Today we are going to discuss unreleased items in Animal Jam.

Unreleased items are items that AJHQ has planned to release, but never did. They can be either a den or clothing item. A lot of these items can only be found by accessing the game's files. Most of them cannot be obtained legitimately, but some have been released in a limited capacity, meaning only a few exist in the game. Since there are very few players who have these items, they are very rarely seen around Jamaa.

Sometimes unreleased items are given out by mistake. For example, the magenta items were given out by AJHQ when recovering certain items, such as the magenta sheep cloak.

The sheep cloak has been a well-known item in the game, but recently more unreleased variants of it have come out. While a lot of unreleased items are completely original, many of them are simple recolors of existing items that never saw the light of day. One example of this is the turquoise sheep cloak, which is one of many recolored variants of the cloak.  An Animal Jam Youtuber by the name of Kek found a jammer recently who had a red sheep cloak, but they have since been banned.

Over the years, Animal Jam has had several different items enter and leave shops, but perhaps the most unusual items known in the game are the unreleased ones. I have only included a few examples of unreleased items in this post, but you can find a full list on the Animal Jam Wiki here. In the future, there might be more items like these that make the game unique. Please remember that Animal Jam will ban accounts who purposely hack into the game for these items, and our team does not encourage you to attempt to illegitimately obtain these items. Instead, let's just appreciate them from afar. Thanks for reading, and have a great Saturday!

raven5455 (AJPC)

This post contains vulgarities, not suitable for all ages.

Why must people intrude on my very nice Recruitment Day? At least this person is not a scammer. This person was advertising 'free rares' in their den and, that's when I discovered the vulgarities. This is not a scammer post.

IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO VIEW THE VULGARITIES, PLEASE STOP HERE.

daniela623 (AJPC)

Hello, Dan here. Today, I have a jammer who got annoyed at us after we didn't let her in the society during recruiting today. After criticizing us and accusing us of only letting people in the society based off looks, she called me a glitch, which I assume is the chat restriction equivalent of calling someone a b*tch.

Report her for inappropriate language.
