Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey all! Danny here with a scammer I found last week. I saw freespirit76589 in Jamaa Township advertising for a giveaway at their den.

Though they didn't ever specify what items were being given away, they had two black longs on their trade, which I could only assume were the prizes. That's a lot to be giving away, so I was a little suspicious. I went to their den to see what was up.

After a little bit, freespirit76589 returned and announced that one person would win all (presumably the black longs, they still didn't specify).

They then asked all of us to put bad items on our trade list.

Then, they finally told us how the giveaway would work. It was a trust giveaway, meaning that the best trade freespirit76589 accepted would win the giveaway. However, they would also be trading items back.
This is nearly always a scam because there is no reason to give someone your items if you expect to receive them back afterward, especially if this person is a complete stranger. This also serves no purpose at choosing a winner for the giveaway - doesn't it seem a little unfair if only people who have rare items to trust with have any chance of winning?

Another played asked what the point of us putting bad items on trade was, to which freespirit76589 clarified that it was so they could trade our items back after.

I asked freespirit76589 why we were trading them items if they were just going to give them right back to us after. Their only explanation was because it was "fun". For who, exactly? They didn't say.

I asked them how it was supposed to be fun for anyone, and pointed out it was kind of unfair that only people with rares would be able to win the giveaway. Despite the fact I didn't even allude to the fact it was a scam, they locked me out immediately.

Make sure to report freespirit76589 for scamming!
-Danny
