Betatoucan (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hellooo! Agent Quacc over here with a new scammer that I found advertising in Crystal Sands. Betatoucan was claiming that they would be giving away their list which had spiked longs and three different coloured headdresses (not pictured).

After their den appeared full, Betatoucan arrived and explained that everyone should buddy them. They also mentioned that they will lock out anyone who accuses them of scamming. This is yet another tactic that scammers use to be able to lock out anyone they don't want in their den. This includes jammers who are aware that it's a scam or anyone that is "ruining" the scam.

Betatoucan then announced that they would be using the "accept, accept, decline" method. For some reason, it's becoming a very popular method. It's important to know that you can only ever accept twice in a trade request before the trade can completely go through. There is the option of cancelling but the other jammer would have accepted by then. This usually ends up with the scammer accepting and taking the items. Betatoucan ended up changing up the method to allow fewer people to leave but it was still the same thing that they said earlier.

Even after warning, jammers were still trading and were "winning." Betatoucan then switched out the longs and headdresses with short spiked wrists.

Once I started asking questions on why trading was necessary, I ended up getting locked out. For some reason, Betatoucan was still my buddy so I went back to their den only to see them hosting the exact "giveaway" again.
Don't forget to report Betatoucan for scamming and stay safe!
