littlesock (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey all, Jade here with your weekly scheduled scammer post! Today, I found littlesock advertising a giveaway in Jamaa Township.

Me and a few other Jammers went to their den and waited a couple minutes for them to arrive.

After the scammer came to their den, they let us know that they were doing the giveaway because they had recently lost their membership. This was the first thing that made me suspicious, other than the giveaway itself- their account had one animal, no pets, and only five achievements, so it was very unlikely that they had recently lost membership or were even on their main account.

They said that they were going to spin a wheel to decide the giveaway method- then, told us that the wheel landed on "decline".

I asked, and they confirmed, that this meant we were going to be playing "best trade wins" but that we didn't have to accept.

They then told us that, even though we didn't have to accept the trades, accepting would make them worth more and therefore make us more likely to win. This is a common tactic that giveaway scammers use in order to gain the trust of the Jammers in the den but make sure that they can still get some items out of someone- so, this development just raised my suspicions.

After their explanation was over, they set a timer, and we began trading. The trading went on for about five minutes, until I decided to accept a trade and see what happened.

Unsurprisingly, as soon as I accepted the trade, they locked everyone out of their den and logged off. Luckily, none of the other Jammers in the den lost any items!

Please report littlesock for scamming.
Stay safe and jam on!
