lorelei06235 + allister10 (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey all! Jade here with a scammer that was submitted through our report form. The user who submitted this scammer wished to stay anonymous, so I will be referring to them as "the Jammer".

Around three months ago, the Jammer was hanging around in Jamaa, when lorelei06235 went into their den and Jam-a-grammed them to follow them. After the Jammer went to their den, lorelei06235 asked them if they would be willing to film an intro for their new AJ YouTube channel with them, and the Jammer said yes. They also said that they would give the Jammer 4 den betas as a thank you gift.

lorelei06235 then asked the Jammer to subscribe to their YouTube channel, which they did. After that, they told the Jammer that they spoke a little bit of French and asked if the Jammer could go on Animal Jam's French server. They told them that there was a link to the website in their YouTube "about" page. The Jammer checked out the link, and it looked like it was legitimate, so they clicked on it. It took them to a page that looked exactly like the Animal Jam home screen, so they logged in, but nothing happened. They refreshed the page a couple times to see if it was glitching, but it didn't work.

The Jammer then went to the normal Animal Jam page and logged in, but the game kept logging them out. lorelei06235 Jam-a-grammed them and asked if it was working, said it wasn't working for them, and told the Jammer they could try again tomorrow. The Jammer then decided to change their password just in case something had happened.

They logged back in with their new password and checked their inventory, and all their spiked collars were gone. They checked lorelei06235's account, and the hacker had blocked them. Soon after, lorelei06235's alt account, allister10, Jam-a-grammed them and began gloating about hacking them.

The site that the Jammer logged into was a phishing site- a website that poses as something it is not in order to steal people's information. The "French" AJ wasn't actually Animal Jam, it was a different website that had a URL that was nearly the same, and was designed to have the same login page. Since the Jammer logged in on this page, thinking it was normal, lorelei06235 was able to steal their password and get into their account. This type of hacking has been getting much more common lately- a guide on how to recognize and avoid it can be found here.

Please report lorelei06235 and allister10 for personal info and make sure to watch out for anyone attempting the same methods! When in doubt about what someone is asking you to do, just don't do it. You don't have to do anything that you think could hurt you or your account. If you have any questions about how to avoid this hack, please read through the Agent Insights post that I linked up above. Stay safe out there, and Jam On!

  1. Hi! I'm really glad that you guys posted this, because I happened to see this story a few days ago. Less than 5 minutes ago, someone with the username of "Lexnak" tried to do this exact same thing to me... She tried to convince me that she just moved to Canada and wanted to bring me to a French server with her, which was linked on her youtube channel, Lexnak AJ. I have screenshots if you guys would like, but I made sure that I never even clicked on the website, in order to avoid them obtaining any of my information. Once again, I'd like to really thank you guys for informing me about this type of scamming. I also made sure to let them know that they should check out this page before I locked them out of my den LOL.

    1. We appreciate that our post was able to help you avoid getting scammed! We would, however, prefer people not direct scammers to our blog, since they sometimes spam, make rude comments, or try to troll on the discord server, which is something we would rather avoid. We're happy we could help though!

    2. Alright! Also, just as a quick update, they have since changed their youtube to "Apossum AJ" with a pink bunny picture, so I hope they're no longer scamming and having fun jamming:)

    1. We're sorry to hear your sibling's account was compromised. If I had to guess, they were probably one of the scammer's previous phishing victims and that's how their login information was obtained by the scammer. Make sure your sibling knows not to enter their information on other sites and make sure to change the account's password as well!
