Lilavender (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hello, Danny here with a scammer I encountered a few days ago. I was in Crystal Sands when I saw Lilavender advertising that they were giving away their trade list in their den.

Their trade list contained two beta elf tail armors as well as a Founder's Hat, quite valuable items to be giving away. I went to their den to check it out.

There were about a dozen other people there. Once Lilavender came back to their den, they asked us all to buddy them in anticipation for one of the future rounds of the giveaway. In the meantime, though, they announced that the first round be a giveaway for their tan elf tail armor, which would be done via a wheel.

The wheel was spun, the prize was (presumably) given out, and we moved onto the next round. The reason Lilavender asked us all to buddy them was that this round would go to the first person to send Lilavender a JAG after they said "go".

Once again, we all sent our JAGs, the prize was given out to the winner, and then we moved onto the final round - the Founder's Hat. Lilavender announced that this would be a trust giveaway, which is where the host puts bad items on trade, the participants trade them a good item, the host trades it back, and the person who trades the best item wins. This is nearly always a scam, since there is absolutely no reason to give someone your items if they are just going to give them back immediately after. This is an extremely unreasonable and unfair way of deciding who wins a giveaway, unless the host plans on simply skipping town with the items you are given, which is almost always the case.
In an attempt to make us feel more comfortable, Lilavender told us that we could choose whether we wanted to trade good or not. However, this is a very empty to claim to make, especially when they just said the person who trades the best items would win.

They removed the Founder's Hat from their list and replaced it all with low value items for us to trade.

Almost all the other people in the den left at this point, leaving only myself and a couple others. I expressed my concerns about how this didn't seem very safe, nor fair, since only people who have valuable items to trust trade with would have any chance at winning. Lilavender ignored me and continued to trade with the others.
I continued to ask my questions, at which point they simply told me that I should leave if I didn't like it; if that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is. I continued to ask them questions, but they continued to ignore me.

Make sure to report Lilavender for scamming. Stay safe and always trade fairly!
-Danny
