Random Saturday Ep 69: Spooky Party in AJPC

Hey everyone!! Clover here with another Random Saturday. This week, we will be talking about the Spooky Party in Animal Jam Classic.

For Halloween every year, Animal Jam has their "Night of the Phantoms" event. Most years, this includes the Spooky Party, which you can find in the parties tab. It was first introduced in 2012, and was last hosted in October of 2018. This year, they decided to bring it back.

Inside the Spooky Party, there are 4 different shops; Music shop, Furniture shop, Clothing shop, and a Pet shop. You can find the clothing shop by going to the 3rd floor of the party and clicking the brown dresser item.

In it, you can find a few fun items, including the Epic Wizard Hat, Witch Boots, Bat Glasses, and more!

The Music shop is located around the same place, so you just need to click the record player labeled "Sale" and you'll be taken to the shop.

When you click on the shop, it has the Spooky Old Bones music for 100 gems, so be sure to grab that if you haven't already!

To get to the den shop, you have to go downstairs when you're in the manor and click on the furniture labeled "Sale."

In the shop, you can find many fun items, such as the Bat Wallpaper, Spiderweb Floor, Standing Coffin, Haunted TV, and a few more items!

Finally, there's one final "shop" that we need to look at; the pet shop, or bat shop, rather. As opposed to the last 3 shops, this one is hidden. On the 2nd floor of the party, there is a bat in the wallpaper, and if you click it, you will be led to the pet customization menu.

Another part of the Spooky Party I felt like was worth mentioning is the green slime. When you first enter the party, if you move your animal to the right, you can find puddles of green slime. If you sit in them, your animal will turn green, similar to how the mud in Appondale turns your animal brown.

Anyways, that concludes this episode! Be sure to have fun at the Spooky Party, and thank you reading the newest edition of Random Saturdays!

Agent Insights Ep 59: Reporting Item Generators

Howdy all, Danny here to talk a little bit about something we have covered before in this series - item generators.

Item generators are sites that claim to be able to generate rare items onto your account if you submit your username and password to the site. In reality, this only results in the person or people in charge of the website going into your account and taking all your stuff. There is no reliable way to "generate" items into someone's account, and even if there was, giving out your password on a random website is never a good idea.

While you may know not to fall for them, there are many players out there who might not, so today we will be discussing how you can effectively take action to get these item generators taken down altogether.

Random Saturday Ep 68: Birthstones & Flowers

Hello! Agent Quacc here with another Random Saturday. This week's post will be about monthly birthstones and flower pots in Animal Jam & Animal Jam Classic!

Animal Jam adds a new birthstone to Epic Wonders in Coral Canyons based on what month it is. They used to be advertised in the Jamaa Journal which shows which month has which gemstones.

The members-only birthstones are based on which gemstone represents the current month or zodiac sign. The gemstones leave at the end of each month and bring new ones at the beginning of the next month. The birthstone for this month (October) is the opal birthstone!

Next month's birthstone will be a topaz birthstone. If you collect all 12 birthstones, you can also show off your collection using a birthstone display which is also available all year long in Epic Wonders. The complete collection looks a little like this.

The birthstones can also be found in Play Wild but they're in Jam Mart Furniture instead of Epic Wonders.

Animal Jam also has monthly birth flowers that can be found in Treetop Gardens in the Sarepia Forest. These bouquets switch at the same time as the birthstones too. The flowers have a member's only bouquet and another non-member version. This month's birth flower is the marigold bouquet.

That's all for today, thanks for reading!

Update Post - September

Hey all, Jade here with this month's update post!

To begin, we'd like to extend a warm welcome to Gammas Holly, Arrow, Riptide, Rivers, and Pepper. Congratulations on completing training and becoming part of the society!

Next, we'd like to remind you all of our Scammer Report Form feature. If you have a scammer to tell us about, you can head over to the report form and fill it out, and we'll use the evidence you give us to make a post! This is a much better method of alerting us to scammers than posting in our Discord server or in the comments on one of our blog posts, since it gives us the opportunity to review the situation and collect sufficient evidence. We encourage you to make use of the report form if you ever have evidence of a scammer in action!

Next, speaking of our Discord server, please feel free to join our server if you would like to chat with us! We've recently introduced a couple new features, such as a media channel, and are still working on testing for our seasonal game events. The link to join the server is also located in the sidebar of our blog. We'd love for more of you to come hang out with us!

Our applications are also reopened, now that our training system has been revamped. If you'd like to apply, head on over to our Joining page and read through the information there!

Finally, we would like to reiterate that you should never be attempting to impersonate anyone in our comment section. We review each comment carefully and will not approve any comments that appear to be posted with harmful intent, especially those that are part of an impersonation scheme. Please, do not impersonate anyone on this blog, no matter what your intentions are.

That's all for today- thanks for reading! Stay safe out there, and Jam On!

Agent Insights Ep 58: Intentional Overpricing

Hello, everyone. Flint here, to talk about another scam I've seen on several occasions, and that you should be aware of.

Intentional overpricing is when items are overpriced in shops with the intention of tricking people into thinking a worthless item is actually worth a lot. Sometimes items are overpriced in this manner because gullible people got scammed with this method and then tried to turn around and sell the item again, but most of the time it's easy to spot someone trying to scam with this method.

Intentional overpricing most often happens when adventure items, Epic Den Shop items, new store items, obscure store items, obscure RIMS, or other uncommon/unknown items are sold for far more than they're worth. Usually they're sold for a minimum of several diamonds, though I've seen some go for up to 200. Really, they can go for any amount. What matters is that none of these items are worth anything. For some items, like adventure items or out-of-stores items, 1 or 2 diamonds is reasonable, but trying to charge 20 diamonds for something you can get in a store or an adventure is a rip-off and the seller is either very uninformed or scamming.

To avoid this scam, make sure to look up any item you see being sold for a lot of diamonds, especially if you aren't sure what the item is. I recommend the Animal Jam Wiki, since most items that are used in this scam aren't worth enough to be in the Item Worth Wiki. If the item is actually valuable, it can be worth checking the Item Worth Wiki to see if it's super-valuable or just moderately valuable. If it's not actually worth the diamonds it's sold for, don't buy.

If you see an overpriced item in a store, don't immediately call the owner a scammer. If they persist in saying it's a fair price even after you confront them about it, then they're probably scamming.

That's all for today. Always make sure to look up the relative worth of any item you see being sold for a lot of diamond. Goodbye!

Random Saturday Ep 66: Unreleased Items

Hey Jammers! Neon here with my first Random Saturday! Today we are going to discuss unreleased items in Animal Jam.

Unreleased items are items that AJHQ has planned to release, but never did. They can be either a den or clothing item. A lot of these items can only be found by accessing the game's files. Most of them cannot be obtained legitimately, but some have been released in a limited capacity, meaning only a few exist in the game. Since there are very few players who have these items, they are very rarely seen around Jamaa.

Sometimes unreleased items are given out by mistake. For example, the magenta items were given out by AJHQ when recovering certain items, such as the magenta sheep cloak.

The sheep cloak has been a well-known item in the game, but recently more unreleased variants of it have come out. While a lot of unreleased items are completely original, many of them are simple recolors of existing items that never saw the light of day. One example of this is the turquoise sheep cloak, which is one of many recolored variants of the cloak.  An Animal Jam Youtuber by the name of Kek found a jammer recently who had a red sheep cloak, but they have since been banned.

Over the years, Animal Jam has had several different items enter and leave shops, but perhaps the most unusual items known in the game are the unreleased ones. I have only included a few examples of unreleased items in this post, but you can find a full list on the Animal Jam Wiki here. In the future, there might be more items like these that make the game unique. Please remember that Animal Jam will ban accounts who purposely hack into the game for these items, and our team does not encourage you to attempt to illegitimately obtain these items. Instead, let's just appreciate them from afar. Thanks for reading, and have a great Saturday!

Agent Insights Ep 57: Ad Chest Rares (AJPW)

What's up everyone! I bring to you today your next episode of Agent Insights! So, today's topic is about ad chest rares. Let's go!

So, ad chest rares are rares that you can get from watching ads in AJPW. These include the rare balloon wings, rare tail armor and rare horseshoe planter. In the past, there were many other rares that could be obtained from this chest. These include the rare top cat, rare flower scarf and others. These rares were discontinued from the ad chest after an update. Therefore, I will not be talking much about it for this Agent Insights. I will focus more on the current ad chest rares and their worth.

So, since these rares come from watching ads, their rarity is actually not really what their "rare" tag is. As someone who watches a lot of ads for sapphires, I can tell you that they are, in fact, quite common. Furthermore, they are currently obtainable until the next change of ad chest rewards. This is unlike most other rares that are currently unavailable.

Therefore, it is important to watch out for people who are looking to trade big with just the ad chest rares. As explained earlier, they are not really rare at all, despite their tag (as of this post). Ultimately, it is important to do a quick check on the items you are about to trade for before actually hitting the trade button. You can search the items up on the AJPW wiki!

That's all from me today. Sorry for the rather short post!
