Random Saturday Ep 17: Alphas

Hey all, Jade here with the latest Random Saturday! In honor of Animal Jam's new event, ALPHAMANIA, we'll be talking about the Animal Jam alphas! This post is pretty long, so click read more if you want to continue reading!

The Alphas are a team of animals that came to Jamaa from a foreign land to help win the Phantom war. They made themselves at home in Jamaa and help protect it from any threats, including the return of the Phantoms.

The main Alphas, who you probably already know, are Liza (Panda), Cosmo (Koala), Graham (Monkey), Sir Gilbert (Tiger), Peck (Bunny), Greely (Wolf), and Tavie (Dolphin). There are also over 30 minor alphas: Harper (Seal), Otto (Elephant), Ruby (Rhinoceros), Cornelius (Crocodile), Sophia (Horse), Marco (Penguin), Edmund (Giraffe), Amelia (Fox), LaSalle (Raccoon), Sigurd (Deer), Valentina (Eagle), Atlas (Lion), Hudson (Otter), Jade (Snow Leopard), Juno (Arctic Wolf), Biff (Hyena), Boomer (Kangaroo), Olive (Cheetah), Calypso (Sea Turtle), Victor (Octopus), Drake (Shark), Barrett (Polar Bear), Avalon (Owl), Andy (Llama), Felicity (Lynx), Koko (Flamingo), Mica (Coyote), Dakota (Cougar), Faye (Sheep), Jamal (Toucan), Jarvis (Lemur), Manni (Sloth), Carmen (Pig), Perry (Falcon), Felix (Goat), and Aurora (Arctic Fox). There's a lot, I know! Since there are so many minor alphas, I won't have time to go into detail on each, but if you want to learn more about them, you can visit the Alphas page on the Animal Jam Wiki!

Liza, the Panda Alpha, is caring, nice, lovable, and adventurous. She helps guide Jammers on adventures and help wherever she is needed. She is the leader of the main Alphas.

Cosmo, the Koala Alpha, is an expert on plants. He is old and wise, and helps to invent much of the plant technology that assists in adventures, such as Boomseeds.

Graham, the Monkey Alpha, is a tinkerer and inventor. He is mischievous and loves all kinds of technology.

Sir Gilbert, the Tiger Alpha, is the military leader of the Alphas. He is polite and curious, but fierce and skilled when at battle.

Peck, the Bunny Alpha, is the youngest Alpha. She loves art and jokes, and has boundless energy. She is often said to be the newest Alpha.

Greely, the Wolf Alpha, sometimes seems like an unfriendly villain, but he is actually one of the bravest alphas. He is an expert in magic and crafts and knows a lot about fighting phantoms.

Tavie, the Dolphin Alpha, is the only aquatic main Alpha. She was born without a tail fin, so she went on a journey to get a prosthesis while leading an ocean army against the Phantoms. The other Alphas met her during her journey and asked her to join them, which she accepted. She also has a love for music.

All of the main Alphas were created when Mira and Zios brought six extraordinary animals to Jamaa and gave them the Alpha Stones. They now lead and protect Jamaa using their unique abilities and the strength of the Alpha Stones.

The only minor Alpha to have a significant impact in Animal Jam lore is Juno. The arctic wolf statue in the Temple of the Ancients is Juno themself, turned to stone as a result of being trapped in the temple while trying to protect the Sabertooths and Direwolves from the Phantoms.

The Alphas really are a fascinating part of Animal Jam lore, especially the minor ones. It's just very interesting to learn about their backstories and their powers, and to realize how much we still don't know about them. My personal favorite Alpha is Juno! I was partial to Greely when I was younger, though.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment below with your favorite Alpha and how you think AJHQ could use the minor alphas in the game as more than just statues!
