Agent Insights Ep 69: WildWorks Mascot Plushie

Howdy everyone! Danny here with a quick Agent Insights for you all in regards to a new item making the rounds. This week, the Rare Item Monday was a den item, which is rare enough in its own right, but to make it even more special, it was an entirely new item rather than just a recolor! Presenting, the WildWorks Mascot Plushie!

However, if you went to nab one of these guys for yourself last Monday, you may have noticed things were a bit off. To be specific, the item just... didn't show up. It wasn't there. While you could still purchase the plushie, the item itself did not exist. If placed in a den, it could not be selected, deleted, rotated, or moved around. According to one of the admins for the AJ Classic Wiki, it would seem the den item file for the WildWorks Mascot Plushie simply didn't exist. Guess AJHQ was in a bit of a rush this week?

As you can imagine, this has caused a bit of confusion. Many people have been misled into believing that this item is worth way more than it really is due to its elusive nature. People are offering den betas and spikes for this item, even though it is no more valuable than any other Rare Item Monday, with the exception of its price tag. I even saw somebody today selling it in their shop for 450 Diamonds, which was what prompted me to make this post in the first place.

In summary, the WildWorks Mascot Plushie is not "glitched". It was a little buggy on Monday when it came out, but that issue is fixed now. It does not have any special value, and it is most certainly not worth 450 Diamonds. Make sure not to get scammed!

Oh, and also: It is extremely likely that this item is going to be returning on Monday, August 9th. AJHQ never re-releases Rare Item Mondays, but this is a bit of a special case given the confusion caused by the item's buggy nature when it came out this week. According to the game's files, this item is set to be released again for next week's Rare Item Monday. So, if you missed it the first time around, just hold tight a couple more days rather than overtrading.

Update Post - July

Howdy everyone! Danny here with your monthly recap post for the month of July 2021. It's been a bit of a quiet month for us, so this post will be nice and condensed.

To start, we would like to congratulate Rome on being the winner of our first ever monthly scam catching incentive! As the agent who caught the most scammers this month, Rome is now the proud owner of 400 Sapphires on Play Wild.

I'd also like to remind everyone that we host weekly game night events on our Discord server! Everyone who wants to is invited to participate, even if you are not a part of the AJSASS team. Game night is hosted every Saturday at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. Come join the fun!

Random Saturday Ep 90: The History Of Jamaa Township

Howdy Jammers! This is Pluto back at it with another Random Saturday!

This week, I will be covering a small portion of the "Beta" period of Animal Jam Classic! Before the polished version of Animal Jam classic was released, there was a testing phase known as the "Beta" era. Many items were released during this time that are now considered rare. But, a lot of new jammers don't know about this time period. Now I couldn't possibly fit everything about the beginning of animal jam and how it was before it was released to the public. But, today we will be talking about Jamaa and the changes it went through to get where we are. 

First, lets talk about the beta era:

Now as you can see, Jamaa Township has gone through some major changes throughout the years. the overall walkways have stayed relatively the same, with the 2 bridges on each side and the open middle. there was a total of 2 shops; Jam Mart Clothing (bottom right) and Jam Mart Furniture (top right). Also shown in this image, there are 3 other buildings; Club Geoz (top left), the Medical Center (bottom building; bottom left), and the Pillow Room (top building; bottom left)

Here we see the spawn point of Jamaa Township during the Beta testing. In the middle, there is a sign that has changed a lot throughout the course of the game. the overall feel of the spawn point hasn't changed, but the layout of buildings has changed drastically.

Here is a picture of the Mira shrine which Is located at the very top of Jamaa. as you can tell, this area hasn't changed what so ever. but its important to show that some things haven't changed within the game throughout the years. 

Now we are looking at the bottom of Jamaa Township, where we have Jam mart clothing, the Pillow Room, and the Medical center. The fountain and the pillow room are the only parts of this area that have not moved since the beta.

Jam Mart clothing was one of the only shops in the game at the time, and it design hasn't changed. I can't find any images of Jam mart furniture, but it pretty much looks the same as it does now.

Now lets move on to present day

As you can see, there's been a lot of new additions throughout the land. Such as; the Diamond Shop (bottom right) , the Sol Arcade (bottom left) , and the Alpha Headquarters (bottom right). Club Geoz was removed in 2017 to be replaced with the Alpha Headquarters. the pillow room became less and less prominent. And the layout of Jam Mart Clothing and Jam Mart Furniture was changed to the spots we all know today. 

In the future, I hope to do more posts about different beta features. I feel like many new jammers don't know the history behind these lands that we all know and love. but for today, stay safe and Play Wild in AJPC!

Random Saturday Ep 89: AJC Roleplay Culture & History

 

Greetings from Agent Grave!

 Today I'm going to touch upon a topic that remains sentimental to me: the roleplay community in AJC. Most Jammers are aware that people roleplay warrior cats and wolves in Sarepia Aldan. Despite what it may seem, it is much more than pretending to be an animal. I've met lifelong friends from this special corner of the internet, and I'm still in touch with some of them today. Roleplay has given me a jump-start in my passion for writing, and I wouldn't have the skillset or opportunities I have today if I wasn't a warrior cats obsessed nerd. 

Our culture may seem strange to traders, but it makes us who we are, and resonates with us on a personal level. To understand roleplay culture, you must understand our history.

Random Saturday Ep 88: AJC Beach House Den Review

Hey Jammers. Galaxy here with another Random Saturdays post! Today I’m doing a review of the Beach House den in Animal Jam Classic.

The Beach House den is a member’s only den that costs 7 diamonds in the Diamond Shop. It was originally released back on April 30, 2015, during the summer. It was taken out and released again multiple times. It’s recently been re-released again for the summer of 2021.

The den has a 3-story house with a deck, 3 balconies, and a slide that leads to the beach. You can also go to the far right to stand on the plateau where you can see dolphins or fish jumping out of the water!

I like the Beach House due to how spacious it is. You can decorate it with multiple different themes. Since it was so large, I used it as an art gallery myself for a while. This is my own Beach House Den now!

The summer theme is easiest to match to the Beach House but there are many other themes you could use as well.

If you search online you can easily find some decorating tutorials. There’s plenty of items you can buy in the Diamond Shop and in Jam Mart Furniture that are beach-themed as well! However, some of the items released from the Beach House Bundle that are currently for sale in the Diamond Shop have a very limited time left before they’re gone so be sure you grab them before they’re gone!

Monthly Update - June

Hello everyone! Flint here to tell you about the society updates for June 2021.

First off, we've been doing some internal work restructuring staff duties. This won't change much, except that you might see some staff doing different things. We hope this change will even the workload and reduce burnout.

As always, we also have our monthly events! We just wrapped up a fun game of Race through Jamaa, and are starting Undercover. Guests are welcome to join in, and we highly encourage you to participate. Check out our Discord server for more information!

We're also hiring! If you're interested in being part of our team, check out our Joining page for more info. We don't accept everyone, but it never hurts to send in an application.

And finally, our Report Form is open as well. If you have evidence of a scam taking place, we encourage you to submit it there. If we can turn it into a good post, we will!

Agent Insights Ep 68: Bot Raids

 Hello, everyone. Flint here to cover a topic that you've likely heard about if you've played Animal Jam recently.

Lately, there have been bot raids occurring, mostly on AJPC. What happens is, mass amounts of AI-controlled accounts appear in Jamaa, spamming certain text phrases and doing things they aren't supposed to be doing. For instance, they'll teleport, flash colors, constantly change their handheld item icons, and be flying without a flying animal. They aren't on AJ all the time, but bot raids happen frequently.

These bots fill up servers and cause large amounts of lag. For some players, they can't even log in during a raid due to the lag and the servers being full. Even if you can get in, you'll see these bots everywhere in public areas and will likely still experience lag.

Another thing these bots are known for is spamming. Besides spamming certain phrases in chat, they also spam buddy requests, JAGs, and game invites. If they're spamming you in these ways, it's very hard to get out of the situation long enough to disable your buddy requests/JAGs/etc. The best thing to do if you're being spammed is just to log off or sit there until the bot raid is over. If you aren't currently being spammed, I'd recommend turning off JAGs, buddy requests, and game requests for the time being.

As far as I know, the bots aren't hacking people's accounts. Some of them might be cracked accounts, but as of now the only thing that's coming of the raids is a lot of lag and annoyed players. Be cautious, but don't worry unnecessarily.

One other thing to note is that a way AJ has tried to combat these bots is by banning anyone who says the phrases they spam. The bots get around this by saying other things, but you shouldn't try to say phrases that the bots are spamming.

That's all for now. If anything major changes regarding the bot raids, we'll likely post again, but for now, that's all we have to say on the matter.

Random Saturday Ep. 87: AJPC Carnival Cotton Candy

 

Hey jammers! This is Clover here with another episode of Random Saturdays! This week, we will be talking about the cotton candy machine in Animal Jam Classic's Summer Carnival.

At the cotton candy machine, there are a total of 8 "special" cotton candies you can create. Each of them have a specific cone and 3 color combination in order to create them!

The first one we will be talking about is the standard phantom cotton candy. You can make this one by using any cone (with the exception of the star cone), and the color combination "black-white-black." The final product is shown below with a plain white cone.

The second cotton candy you can create is known as the "phantom king" cotton candy. This one has similar instructions to the standard phantom cotton candy, however you use the star cone with the "black-white-black" color combination.

The next cotton candy we will be talking about is what I like to call the "paw" cotton candy. For this one, you use the plain white cone and the color combination "white-orange-yellow." 

The next one is the "heart" cotton candy. To make this one, all you have to do is use the pink heart cone and the pink color one time, and you'll make it!

Similarly to the "heart" cotton candy, the "star" cotton candy requires only 2 steps. Dip the star cone in the yellow cotton candy one time and you have it!

Returning back to more complex cotton candies, we have the rainbow cotton candy next. To make this one, you have to use the lighting cone, then the "blue-yellow-pink" combination.

Next up we have the "moon" cotton candy! To make this one, you use the lightning cone and the "white-blue-white" combination.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the "sun" cotton candy! To make this one, you use the star cone and the "yellow-orange" color combination (you may add a second orange, however it makes no difference either way).
