Monthly Update - July

For the first update, this new series. It's mainly to make sure everyone is on the same page about society happenings. Basically, one of our agents will be picked to write a brief summary of the past month and everything semi-climactic that happened in it. Organization, am I right?

Secondly, we hit 10,000 pageviews this month! I already made a gushy post about that. You can read it here.

We've also implemented a schedule to go with the new recap thing. All agents have been briefed on it. We will be doing scammer posts every Monday and Thursday with other special surprise posts throughout the week.

The final new thing we have added comes from our Discord server. We put in a Fun and Games channel where we play some games Delta Dew put together which rotate every five days. It's so much fun. You can join our Discord through the many links on the site.

Society Update: 10,000

Wow, just wow. 10,000 pageviews. The overwhelming happiness, support and overall inclusivity from this community and team is astounding. What began as a few kids who met through an online game, thinking they could make a difference and a mentor who knew the ropes has grown into something truly beautiful. The whole team is very grateful for this amazing milestone, who knows what may happen next? We are working on new content and new ideas for the blog because 10,000 is not just a number. It's the number of times someone, somewhere clicked on a link to our site or typed it into their search engine. It signifies the beauty of this age and connectivity and for that, we thank you. Society Update: Promotion!

Hello everyone. I am back again with wonderful news. Maretu had their trial today and has been promoted to the rank of Beta. Yay! *cheering* We are so happy for you Mar! They did pass by the voting process because of the turnout of the Jury. Thank you to everyone who made it. Society Update: New Announcements!

Hello everyone! Miss me and my beautifully articulate writing style? Anywho, on to the matter at hand. We have a lot of stuff going on in the society right now and it is truly exciting. First and foremost, two new points have been added to the Code of Conduct. I suggest you check that out. Second, you should join our discord. Society Update: Big News!

Hi guys! We have some fabulous news. We finally got a discord. The Alphas and Deltas have been talking about it since we reopened and it is finally happening. "Why are we doing this?" you may ask. Well, there are a few reasons. First of all, Hangouts (what we use to communicate with society members) and the Chat Room are both inefficient and hard to work/mod. Second, the Chat Room roles are hard to give out and Is always clears her history sending everything out of wack (Sorry guys!). Third, we've been meaning to do it. So, here's the link. Please join, we all would love to talk your ears off. 

Society Update: New Gamma

Hello everyone! We have very happy news! We have just accepted two new Gamma, Jade and Maretu! I would like to personally congratulate both of you. They have both had an extensive history with the SWS (Jade) and SASS (Maretu) so, we hope they will do great things. Just a reminder, if you wish to join the society, sign up! You can do that via the joining tab.

Society Update: With Regards to the SWS

First, we would like to say, we understand. 

The SWS (Scam Watchers' Society) closed its doors permanently on April 20th. They definitely had good reasoning. AJ is changing and will probably not last for much longer. In good heart and spirit, Dan, a good friend of ours, has turned the spotlight on us. So, we want to welcome you, old agents of the SWS and viewers. We want you to feel as included as any Gamma or viewer over here. So, take a look around, read our documents (Courtesy of Delta Dew), comment on a post or two, apply. We welcome you with open arms. Many people in our small community will miss the SWS and all of us will revel in the new friendships we will create and curate. 

As a reminder to the people coming over from the SWS, our rules and rankings are fairly different from those on your side of the tracks. If you do wish to apply, you will be expected to know these rules and rankings if you wish to be promoted in the future.
