Random Saturday Ep 35: Feral (leaks!)

Hey all, Blue here with today's Random Saturday!

Today, I am going to be talking about what has changed in relation to Feral since I made the last Random Saturday about it. And yes, a lot has changed.

Since I last talked about Feral, a couple new things have come out. I'll start with the biggest one yet: Feral beta signups!

Feral has posted the signups for its beta testing, which is speculated to be happening sometime around late December. You have to be over 13 to sign up.

The next awesome thing is that a bunch of new leaks have been released,  including what some of the animals are going to be! There are a lot of pictures, so the rest of the post is under the cut!

Random Saturday Ep 30: Bittersweets

Hey all, Blue here with another rand Sat!

Today I am going to be talking about Bittersweets, Animal Jam's (PC) seasonal adventure for Halloween.  

Bitter Sweets is an adventure where you play as your pet, and you go around collecting candy by dissipating Proto-Phantoms, which will drop one candy if you touch them. for every different amounts of candy you collect, you can open a chest. the first one is at 100, second at 200, third at 400, fourth at 700 and last at 1000. 

The rewards are various halloween-themed den items.

There are also special pet passages, for clothing items. There is a passage for bees, kittens, bats, peacocks, puppies, tarantulas and probably some others. They give out different clothing items and sometimes clothing betas.

1000 candies seem like a lot? Yeah, it is. However, there is a quick way I have discovered that can finish the adventure for you fast.

Get a group of four people together, and go find one of the candy jackpots, located at the end of each of the maps legs:

Activate the Jackpot by each sitting on a stump, and grab your candy from the chest when it pops out.

Walk away from the jackpot until you can no longer see it, wait 15 seconds, then go back. It should have reset and you can get the candy again!

This strategy made the whole 5 chests take 10 minutes for me. Its quick and easy!

Random Saturday Ep 29: Feral

Hey all, Blue here with today's Random Saturday!

Today I will be talking about Animal Jam's game-in-development, Feral.

Feral is Wildworks' way to try to get some of the older players in AJ to stay in the game. It's going to be focused on the older generation, and won't have as many chat filters. You can talk about Instagram or YouTube or whatever you want!

Feral is going to be a mythological-based game. Not much is known about it.
The developers in Wildworks have leaked a character, which can be seen in Approx's video here:

The only other character that the community knows of is the Kitsune, a many-tailed fox-like animal.
No images of it have come out yet.

Think that sounds cool? There's more!

Similar to AJPC and AJPW your animal can be customized and patterned so that it is unique, and of course you can dress it up with items. But here's the twist. While there will probably still be items you can win or buy, Feral will let you make, yes MAKE, your own items to use and trade! I don't know the exact details, whether you can design them from scratch or whether you have to use a base, but thats pretty cool!

Feral will also have things similar to Adventures, but they will be called Quests and be slightly more involved with the game's storyline. Similar to Minecraft, you use materials you gather in quests to craft items.

Feral will be for all platforms, and it will not be solely download. Feral's Beta testing has been said to be coming December this year or early 2020.

This new game is being developed by PlayWild's team, so it will be 3D. I cannot wait!

Agent Insights Ep 18: What To Do If You Get Scammed

Hey all! Blue here with todays Agent Insights!

Today, I will tell you what to do if you get scammed, whether its from a trust trade or any other type of  AJ scam out there.

Firstly, you should never, ever do trust trades with anyone, even your best friend. Almost always, they will end out in scams. Also, AJHQ will not refund your items, which brings me to my second point. 

Many of us in AJ's community know what its like to be scammed, myself included. That is why I joined SASS. However, if you get trust trade scammed, AJHQ will not return your items, saying it was the "Jammers choice" and that they should have been smarter. So, don't do trust trades!

There are many other scams out there, from things like "gift me and i'll gift back", "can I just try them on?", and many more. AJHQ will give you your items back if you message them for some of these cases. Getting hacked is an example of that.

If you got scammed, make sure you report the scammer and go to AJHQ's help page. Send them a message about the scam and what you were scammed, including the date. As long as it wasn't a trust trade, they will help you as best as they can.

Agent Insights Ep 11: Scammer YouTube Channels

Hey all, Blue here with the latest Agent Insights! In today's post, I'll be sharing my views on scammer channels, both scammers themselves and scam stopping channels. 

So, I am sure many of you have seen YouTube scamming videos. Some of the time, they are fake. Those point out scams and how to stop them, which is good. However, most of the time, they are true and show someone scamming someone else.

This is becoming more frequent. Watching a video and catching a scammer are very different because you cannot see the scammers user, which keeps them safe. 

However, some YouTube channels are focused on exposing scammers. One of the most significant is Things AJ. The channels that focus on this are often well-accomplished scam catchers and know how to stop a scammer. However, these channels are becoming less active as they get more popular because scammers start learning their usernames and start avoiding them. 

Overall, these YouTube videos by scammers are used to communicate with other scammers and brag about their scamming skills, using items won by scamming as a gauge. If you have ever been scammed (like me) you know what its like to lose your best items. So to scammers out there, we implore you to quit your channel, give the items back and start anew.

Random Saturday Ep 18: Referrals

Hey everyone! Blue here with the newest Random Saturday, and today I will be talking about AJPC's referral feature.

To get your referral link, you open your buddy page and click the invite a friend button underneath the dropbox.

 

There are 4 stages to the referral, and this is when it gets interesting. The first stage, when someone makes a new account via your referral, you get 1,500 gems, which isn't too exciting. However, if someone you referred gets membership, you move on to the second stage, and as well as the 1,500 gems you get a week of membership added to your account and 15 diamonds. If 3 people you referred get membership, you move on to the third stage, where you get 25 diamonds, one month membership and the exclusive Epic Feathered Armour set!!

If 5 people you referred get membership, you move on to the fourth and last stage, where you get one month membership, 50 diamonds, and the legendary eagle.

This eagle is customisable with 4 different patterns in many different colors, and people on this stage can make as many of them as they like! however it is super hard to get this far unless you buy membership on your spares, a sign of true dedication to animal jam.

Agent Insights Ep 06: How to Spot a Scammer

Hey all, Blue and Dew here with today's agent insights! So, today, we will be going over how to spot a scammer!

Some of the easiest ways are to check if the scammer is a new jammer, how many achievements they have, how many pets and how many items. For example, an account that has very few achievements and is advertising for a trust giveaway with spikes or headdresses could be an alt of a scammer.

Another way to tell is if they say their main has been suspended and they are on a spare, and that they had many rares/spikes/longs etc etc. Sometimes, they may ask others to gift them such rares because they were suspended. However, we cannot be sure if it is true that their main was suspended. To be safe, unless you are willing to risk losing your item forever, don't gift them it.

Also, do recall that any form of trust trading is considered by AJHQ to be scamming. Therefore, anyone who trust trades can be considered to be a scammer. However, not everyone trust trades with bad intent, though many of them do.

Additionally, many giveaways may not be giveaways at all! Though some are genuine giveaways, others could involve trading for a rare item. Giveaways are named as such because the receipent doesn't have to give anything back in return. For non-members, they can trade a common item. Therefore, giveaways that involve trading rares is highly likely to be a scam.

Finally, there is the "Gift me it's my birthday". Now, this is up to you to decide. It could be genuine, it may not be. Just remember that if you gift them, you may not get your item back.

Random Saturday Ep 13: Mind Blowing Update

Hey all, Blue here with the 100th Post! Woo!! So, today I'm going to be talking about Animal Jam's claim of a "mind blowing update" coming up, that they mentioned in their live stream about a week ago.

So, as most of you will know, Animal Jam has been called dying for a while. One of the reasons this is happening because of the low quality of the recent updates, with no new dens or proper animals besides re patterned ones like the falcon and deer.

 

However, AJHQ acknowledged that their updates hadn't been the best in 2018, but they said 2019 will be full of surprises. there are many guesses as to what new features AJHQ might add, and here are some of my favorites.

1. Pet adventures! This is one I heard of on Shopking's video, and I honestly thing it would be quite cool to play as your pet in an exclusive adventure.

2. The ostrich! Animal Jam showed it before as a possible chance, so why don't they release it now?

3. Trade features! These are some I came up with myself. what if you could find someones user and send them a trade even if they are offline, and then they can check a trading center for their offers!

4. Pets should be able to be gifted! Like, who doesn't want that feature?

5. You can trade your animals, dens, gems and diamonds! That would be awesome! There would be so many more possibilities...

6. You can sort your buddies. Often you make a really good friend or play with people for an adventure, and you want to remember their user and not just as a random buddy. What if you could put them into a "good friends" group or a "great Adventurer" group? that would be so helpful!
