Hello, everyone! It's Rose with a scamming attempt that I witnessed a week ago. They were advertising that whoever bought the potion from their shop would get anything free.

Unfortunately, I lost the screenshot of their shop, but it consisted of a few treasure hunt items, a potion that was priced at 1 sapphire, and a potion priced at 50+ sapphires (You don't have to believe me if you don't want to). I asked them what could I get, and they avoided my question by saying "please buy im trying to get animal".

I asked them to show me the items again, and they avoided my question a second time by saying that "you can get fine [five] things for free".

I questioned their offer because they had been avoiding my questions and then they said "if you buy potion".

Promptly, I told them that it most likely was a scam, and they proceeded to lock me out of their den.

Avoid My Shop scams like these and please report Cutepuppy11123 for scamming!

Stay safe, everyone! Farewell, readers, until next time.

Hello, Jammers! Agent Timber here with a brand new scammer post to report mouserbit. This is a scammer that was reported to us through the scammer report form. The witness told us that mouserbit, one of their recent buddies, visited them after their membership expired. They claimed that they could give them a one-year membership.

They then told the witness that in exchange for the membership, they wanted a small item that isn't very rare, such as a "smol spike".

mouserbit told them that they would put the membership on another account and that the witness would have to transfer their items to the new account. mouserbit claimed they would have to create and by extension be the owner of the account for this to work, but they promised to never go on the account.
This is a scam for a few reasons; for one, mouserbit could easily just unbuddy the witness and run off with their item without giving them an account that had a membership.

The witness was told they could choose the username for the account.

After that, the witness left, as it is unsafe to transfer your items to somebody else's account. If they took this offer, mouserbit could have taken their items, because they had access to the account as well. There is also the fact that, by giving the account membership and having access to the parent email linked to the account, mouserbit would have full control over the account at all times and could do a variety of things, including take the items on there or shut it down.
Please report mouserbit for scamming, and remember to report any scams that you may witness. We have a tab at the top of our homepage that lets you report a scammer. Stay safe in Jamaa!

minimalmilk + crunchymoon9itsme (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey gang! It's Danny here with an incredibly poorly planned and clumsily executed scamming attempt.
Yesterday, I saw minimalmilk advertising for free red long spikes at their den in Temple of Zios. This sounded pretty fishy, especially due to minimalmilk's lack of achievements, so I went to their den to see what was up.

Sure enough, there were upwards of 25 people there. They started by saying that the first person who had come into the den would get a red long, but this obviously fell through rather quickly as there were many people claiming they were the first person and no actual way to check who arrived first.
Instead, minimalmilk put some bad items on trade and switched to announcing that whoever traded them something of value first would win. Win what? Presumably a red long, but they weren't very specific.

They then started announcing that everyone who had traded them had been awarded a spike. This was already a deviation from both of their previous announcements, as this implies they had multiple spikes to give out instead of one singular red long, and that, apparently, everyone who traded them received a spike rather than just the first person to trade them a rare. This would also defeat the entire purpose of a giveaway, since, at this point, it's just become regular trading but with extra steps (and the likelihood of getting scammed).
Their claim was also immediately contradicted by other people in the den who had traded them blatantly stating they hadn't received any sort of prize yet. minimalmilk ignored them and continued on with their scam.

More players ended up trading them, and they started announcing the names of people who had allegedly received prizes, including someone named "blue fire" apparently getting a den beta. Despite the fact this giveaway was initially advertised as being for a red long, they seem to have taken an impromptu detour after it became obvious their original plan was not going to work.

By now, many other people had left the den at the realization this wasn't a legitimate giveaway. There were only about 10 other people around, which allowed me to clearly see the name tags of the everyone in the den. Other players' name tags have been blurred for privacy, but I can assure you that there was nobody with "blue fire" in their username in the den.
The other players also started to pick up on this as minimalmilk continued to announce random people as the recipients of prizes, even though nobody with that name was in the den. It soon became very obvious that they were straight-up shouting out names of fake winners that they made up on the fly to make their scam seem authentic. Maybe this would have worked if there were more people in the den and name tags were less visible. In this case, however, it only served to destroy any remaining credibility minimalmilk had as a giveaway host.

Other players who had traded minimalmilk asked for their items to be returned, to no avail.

At this point, crunchymoon9itsme stepped in and started asking those of us rightly calling out minimalmilk for scamming to stop, since we were "basically bullying new jammers". minimalmilk obviously wasn't a New Jammer, despite having only 5 achievements, if they had so many valuable items to give out, but that didn't seem to deter crunchymoon9itsme from staunchly defending them.
Other players started to accuse crunchymoon9itsme of being minimalmilk's main account and likely the source of the alleged rares that minimalmilk was "giving away". I don't believe this is the case, though, as the two talked and moved simultaneously numerous times, but crunchymoon9itsme was still a clear accomplice in the scam. They repeatedly told everyone to stop being so mean to minimalmilk, in spite of all the people in the den announcing that they had traded their items without receiving the prizes minimalmilk was claiming to give out.

minimalmilk even went as far as to specifically thank crunchymoon9itsme for defending them from everyone they had taken items from.

minimalmilk eventually started naming actual players in the den and claiming they were going to receive their prizes (Crystal is the pink arctic wolf)...

...but in the end, nobody who had given minimalmilk rares testified that they had received anything in return, spikes, den betas, or otherwise.

After most people had left, another player in the den alleged that crunchymoon9itsme had scammed them previously 2 months ago. While there isn't currently any solid evidence to corroborate this claim, minimalmilk locked the den almost immediately after, and everyone except crunchymoon9itsme was kicked out.

Report crunchymoon9itsme and minimalmilk for scamming. Stay safe and always trade fairly!

wolve88 (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hi guys, this is Gamma Neutron here, Today I found wolve88 in Jamma Township telling people to send them a gift if you want their list. I forgot to take a screenshot of their list but it included one orange long, a freedom mask, and the spike that they are wearing on their eagle.

I asked them why they couldn't use the trading system directly and they told me this:

"cause Idk I will put bad on trade for non-members"
I told them that their answer didn't really answer my question and they ignored me for a bit. Then they said:

I said, no thank you, I don't want to get scammed. A Jammer nearby was also calling them out as a scammer.

Then they logged off.
Make sure to report wolve88 for scamming and always use the trading system directly!

Hey gang! Yesterday, I encountered cuddlechubby33 in Coral Canyons asking people to trade for their tie, and if you traded something of enough value that they would accept, you would win the rest of their trade list.

The rest of their list in question included an orange long spike (they added a short green wrist later on) that would be the prize for getting them to accept a trade for their tie.

I asked why people couldn't just trade directly for the spike, to which they answered that it was just a challenge they were doing with their buddies to see who could get their tie traded away first.
This challenge doesn't really work for a variety of reasons: for one, cuddlechubby33 could simply choose to accept the first trade they got instead of waiting for something of value, and also because cuddlechubby33 has no way to prove to their buddies that the tie was actually traded away and not simply recycled or removed from their trade list.

I told them that if it's just for a challenge, they should probably stop promising a prize in return and simply ask for trades for the tie, because otherwise, people would definitely report them for scamming. They seemed understanding of this and told me they were going to do that instead. I almost thought this was just some big misunderstanding...

...until, as soon as I left their line of sight and more people arrived, they immediately started doing their scam again. I went up to try and ask them what they were doing, but they ignored me and continued to trade.

I suppose they ended up accepting somebody's trade, as they said "congrats" and an arctic wolf walked up and asked if they got the list. cuddlechubby33 then asked the arctic wolf to buddy them and come to their (locked) den so they could show their buddies.

I thought that was the end of my interaction with cuddlechubby33, but a few minutes later I found them in Sarepia Forest on a different server, hosting the same challenge, but with a slingshot instead, and both prizes they promised to the arctic wolf still on their trade list. Hm.
You can also notice that they didn't bother to change the copy/pasted advertisement for their scam, as they were still asking people to trade for the tie, despite the fact the tie had been traded away already in their previous scam.

I also encountered the arctic wolf who had allegedly won their challenge asking people to report cuddlechubby33 for scamming in Jamaa Township.

I asked them what they lost, and they responded that they were scammed of their yellow slingshot that cuddlechubby33 ended up putting on their trade list.

Please report cuddlechubby33 for scamming! Stay safe and always trade fairly!

Agent Insights Ep 38: My Shop Scams

Hey everyone, Jade here with today's Agent Insights post! Today, we'll be talking about a few new scams that have originated with the My Shop feature and how to best avoid them.

The most common new scam I've seen that uses the My Shop feature is the "reward" scam. In this scam, the scammer will advertise a shop in their den and tell Jammers that if they buy anything from the shop, they will gift them a reward. The scammer will put the items in the shop at a very high price in order to make a profit off of people hoping for a good prize, then refuse to send anything if someone does buy the items in the shop. Do keep in mind that this can occasionally be a legitimate advertising strategy- the difference depends on the price of the items in comparison to their worth, and if the gifts are actually sent out by the seller.

A similar scam to this is a giveaway scam, where the scammer will advertise a giveaway in their den when all the items in their shop are bought. Again, this could be a genuine advertising strategy, but if the items are overpriced or unrare, it's almost always a scam. The scammer will wait until the items in their shop are bought, then never do the giveaway that they promised.

In Play Wild, there is one scam that can't happen in AJPC. A scammer will ask you to put an item in your shop and say that they won't buy it, but that they just want to try it on with the dressing room feature (exclusive to AJPW). They will then buy your item and leave. Often, in order to convince you that they won't buy your item, they will tell you that they don't have any gems or sapphires, so they couldn't possibly buy it. This is almost always a lie.

Finally, we have the high-value scam, which Flint talked about in a previous Agent Insights. You can read about that here.

Overall, the best way to avoid these scams is just to use your best judgement. Don't buy anything overpriced and don't trust random strangers on the internet. As with the trade system, if you just use the My Shop system for its intended purpose, you won't get scammed!

That's all for today, thanks for reading! Stay safe, and Jam On.

poxy1101 (AJPC)

Do not attempt to track down or harass any of the scammers we post. We only ask that you report them, and maybe block them.

Hey gang! Today, one of our new omegas, Neutron, found poxy1101 in the Diamond Shop asking people to gift or trade them diamond items in exchange for items of presumably equal value to be gifted in return. They claimed that the more items you gave, the better gifts you would receive.

Instead of items of equal value, their trade list was instead filled with cheap necklaces.

I went up to them and asked why they couldn't just trade directly for the diamond items, to which they responded that they were "saving their diamonds". I told them that didn't really answer my question at all, but they continued advertising.

I tried to ask them again, and this time they told me that they didn't want to put their items on trade because of the new hack. The hack in question is an auto-accept mod that allows you to control the person you are sending a trade request to. While I understand being wary, this still isn't an excuse for what poxy1101 was doing. It's also unlikely that someone would use this hack to steal something of equal value to Diamond Shop items.

I tried to tell them this, but they instead sent me a trade request for their pink short spike in exchange for the Ice Mira Statue I had on trade. It was an overtrade, so I accepted. They then tried to tell me that they "literally just gifted a spike" to me, despite the fact they did not "literally" gift it, they literally traded it to me. I'm assuming this was supposed to be either a bribe or some way of "proving" that they weren't scamming, but it didn't really do either of those things.

They ended up running off at the end of this interaction.
Make sure to report poxy1101 for scamming, and a special thanks to Omega Neutron for helping me out with this person!
